Siganus guttatus, known as the orange-spotted (or gold-lined, or Gold-saddle Rabbitfish) spinefoot, is a robust rabbitfish from the Indo-Pacific. In well-maintained reefs or large aquariums, it is generally peaceful and reef-safe, provided it’s well-fed with algae (e.g., nori, spirulina). Its venomous spines can deliver a painful sting, though rarely dangerous. When introduced together, two individuals can form a compatible pair.
