The Fluid Monitoring Module is a multifunctional module that allows your Apex to monitor flow, detect leaks, measure water levels, power 24VDC accessories, and utilize future sensors.
The flow sensors measure the flow of your aquarium's main return pump. Your Apex will be immediately notified if the flow stops for any reason. Place a flow sensor on a device such as a carbon/GFO/biopellet reactor, and it can serve multiple purposes. First, it lets you know if your pump is not flowing properly or has stopped working entirely. Next, you can easily tune the flow in the reactor using the dashboard tile on your Apex. Finally, by setting a warning alarm on your Apex, you can monitor your dashboard to know when the reactor is clogging or where channeling may have occurred.
The 1/2″ sensors are suitable for flow rates of 30-250 gph. The 1″ flow sensors are suitable for flow rates of 150-1500 gph.
