The Banded Coral Shrimp (Stenopus hispidus) is a striking ornamental shrimp recognized by its red and white banded body and long white antennae. Often seen displaying its extended claws, it becomes a highly visible and charismatic inhabitant of reef aquariums.

Territorial, especially toward other shrimp species. Best kept singly unless a confirmed male–female pair is established.
May show aggression toward smaller ornamental shrimp.
Generally peaceful toward fish, but very small or weak fish may be at risk.

Omnivorous scavenger. Feed:
• Frozen mysis and brine shrimp
• Chopped seafood
• Marine pellets
• Meaty leftovers
Will also scavenge uneaten food from the aquarium.
