Helfrich’s Firefish (Nemateleotris helfrichi)
Helfrich’s Firefish is one of the most striking dartfish species available for marine aquariums. Its beautiful combination of soft purple, yellow and white coloration, along with its elegant swimming style, makes it a highly sought-after addition to peaceful reef aquariums.
This species is naturally shy and spends much of its time hovering above its chosen hiding place. When startled, it quickly retreats into rockwork or a burrow. Providing plenty of rock structures and a calm environment helps the fish feel secure and display its natural behavior.
