Lysmata vittata – Striped Cleaner Shrimp

The Lysmata vittata is a striking and beneficial cleaner shrimp that adds color and activity to the aquarium while helping to maintain fish health. Its vivid red-and-white stripes and long white antennae make it easily recognizable.

Like other members of the Lysmata genus, L. vittata exhibits cleaning behavior—removing parasites and dead tissue from fish that willingly visit its “cleaning station.” This natural service supports a healthy, balanced reef environment.
