Coral Farm BioFlow 18

Coral Farm's BioFlow 18 is a compact biological filtration solution for smaller aquariums. It combines optimized flow and high-surface-area filter media into one unit. The package includes a rack and 18 highly porous and durable ceramic bio-balls.

The rack guides the water to flow evenly through the balls, which improves bacterial activity and makes filtration more efficient compared to filter media placed freely in the sump. This helps maintain stable water quality and supports a functioning nitrogen cycle.

One bio-ball provides an area of up to approximately 54 m² for bacterial growth. The highly porous structure allows for the formation of a large microbial community, including nitrifying bacteria, which convert ammonia to nitrate via nitrite.
