Coral Farm BioFlow 30

The Coral Farm BioFlow 30 is a compact biological filtration solution that combines optimized flow and high surface area filter media into one unit. The package includes a rack and 30 pieces of highly porous and durable ceramic bio-balls.

The rack guides the water to flow evenly through the balls, which improves bacterial activity and makes filtration more efficient compared to filter media freely placed in the sump. This helps maintain stable water quality and supports a functional nitrogen cycle.

One bio-ball provides up to approximately 54 m² of surface area for bacterial growth. The highly porous structure allows for the formation of a broad microbial community, including nitrifying bacteria that convert ammonia through nitrite into nitrate.
