Maxspect Nano-Tech Bio-Cubelet is a biological filtration medium consisting of small ceramic cubes. It provides a growth surface for beneficial aquarium bacteria and helps build effective biological filtration without requiring large amounts of bulky material.

Increased growth surface for bacteria

The porous structure between the ceramic granules provides a surface for bacteria to colonize. The material acts as a growth medium for bacteria; biological filtration develops as the bacterial colony matures.

The small cubes are suitable for sumps as well as, for example, the filter media chambers of canister and hang-on-back filters. They make it easy to utilize even smaller filtration spaces.

Placement and maintenance

Place the material in a location where water can flow around it. Remove accumulated debris regularly. Maxspect recommends maintaining the material approximately every six months and cleaning or replacing only a portion at a time to ensure a functional bacterial colony remains in the system.
