Pico Reef is an approximately 19-litre saltwater aquarium kit for corals and small invertebrates. Included are the aquarium, lighting, filtration, heater, top-off system, and accessories for setting up the tank.

The small tank takes up little space, but its water parameters change quickly. This kit is suitable for a hobbyist who is prepared to monitor salinity and temperature and take care of regular water changes. The tank is not intended as a fish-focused saltwater aquarium.

Biological starter pack

You will receive a complimentary biological starter pack sourced from Korallifarmi's established saltwater systems. It includes live rock, mature sand, bacterial cultures, and microfauna to support the start of the aquarium's biological processes.

Equipment and care

The Tunze Comline Nanofilter handles water circulation, surface skimming, and mechanical filtration. The Fauna Marin DIY Refill replaces evaporated water from an RO water reservoir.

Select corals according to their light and flow requirements. Keep feeding moderate and monitor water parameters regularly.

Water and maintenance

Prepare saltwater using marine salt and pure RO water. Check the salinity with a refractometer before using the water. Evaporated water is replaced with fresh RO water, not saltwater.

RO water can be picked up at the Korallifarmi store. To produce your own water, the ARKA myAqua380 reverse osmosis unit is available separately (€79.90).

Additionally, you will need a salinity meter, such as a D-D Refractometer (€54.90), as well as a thermometer and an RO water reservoir suitable for the top-off system.
