Aquaforest Reef Salt is a synthetic sea salt for reef aquariums housing soft corals, LPS, and SPS corals. The salt contains the macro and trace elements necessary for preparing seawater.

Preparing seawater

• Use pure RO/DI water and a clean mixing container.
• Heat the water to approximately 24 °C. Add the salt to the water according to the mixing instructions on the packaging.
• Stir vigorously for about 15 minutes and continue if necessary until the salt has dissolved and the water is clear.
• Check the salinity with a calibrated meter and adjust the temperature and salinity to match your aquarium before performing a water change.

The Ca, Mg, and KH values of the prepared water depend on the salinity. Check the batch information on the packaging and measure the values of the new water if necessary.

Storage

Store the salt in a dry place protected from light. According to the manufacturer's instructions, dissolved Reef Salt should be used within 3 days.
