Cabinet

Larger aquariums have increased weight, so the 1500mm and 1800mm cabinets come standard with an integrated metal frame. There is an option for a metal frame for the 1200mm model. Pre-assembled AquaFrame cabinets made from corrosion-resistant aircraft-grade aluminum profile, assembled with special stainless steel brackets and high-strength rivets. Adjustable, fully waterproof feet and soft-close, sliding doors. The AquaFrame system allows for design changes without needing a new cabinet, available in 11 different color finishes

Constructed from crystal clear, low iron high clarity glass, the Aquarium features a braceless design, producing a clean and modern display with easy access for maintenance.

By designing the tank to be wider than it is tall we create a more balanced aspect ratio which greatly enhances the viewing experience, allowing easier and more natural aquascaping and coral placement.

An internal Weir box can become an unattractive focal point in any aquarium, dictating aquascaping and interrupting flow patterns inside the tank.

With this in mind the 'invisible Weir box' of the PRO-Reef models has been carefully designed to minimize Intrusion into the Aquarium whilst exceeding the functionality found in most aquariums.

The Twin pipe overflow system allows almost silent running while the use of the DD UltraFlow Weir comb allows the maximum amount of water flow without raising the water height in the aquarium.

The PRO-Reef cabinet is designed to be extra tall to perfectly balance the aspect ratio of the Aquarium and is built for DD in the UK to ensure a consistent high quality.

The top, bottom and front structural uprights of the cabinet are made of 36mm board, making it extremely strong and rigid with excellent load bearing properties, giving the impression of a piece of furniture rather than just a simple tank cabinet. Note that as with any piece of furniture, spilled or standing water must be cleaned up immediately from the surface to prevent damage to the board.

The extra internal height inside the cabinet provides good headroom for use of taller equipment and benefits ease of maintenance. Access is further improved by incorporating removable quick release. double folding doors.

When installing any Aquarium it is of the utmost importance to provide a level base, unlevelled cabinets can add stress to the glass and can result in an uneven water level in the aquarium. The DD Aquarium cabinet design includes heavy duty adjustable feet allowing for full leveling of the cabinet and aquarium.

From mid June 2023, the pipework will be changing on the ReefPro 1800.

The 1800 model uses larger 40mm pipework on the two down pipes and a 25mm return pipe.

As standard the pipework will now be fitted with a gate valve for finer tuning of the overflow water which makes it easier to set the water height and achieve silent running.

The tank connectors will be changing to a fixed pipe length design which means that they can be tightened up by holding the lower pipe and rotating the top pipe.

As part of the ClariSea ready feature of the ReefPro Aquarium range, we now supply a 40mm flexi pipe to connect directly to the ClariSea.

As standard the DD Reef-Pro range is supplied with a ClariSea ready sump and pipework, this allows the ClariSea units to be fitted easily with no adjustments or modifications.

The ClariSea fleece filter is an ultra compact, patented, high efficiency water filtration system, which continuously removes suspended particles such as micro algae, detritus, food, organic waste and gravel dust from the water column to improve water quality and clarity. The ClariSea design has been continuously developed and improved over 4 years, and is suitable for use in both marine and freshwater aquariums, fish-breeding and coral propagation systems.

At the time of order it is possible to specify the optional filter sock option, this can easily be lifted out at a later date and the ClariSea fitted without the need of tools.

The DD Reef-Pro aquariums come complete with a 3D printed flow generator and wide outlet nozzle attachment allowing the flow coming from the sump to be directed and tailored to suit your reef.
