Glamorca RO1 replacement filters are original replacement cartridges for the Glamorca RO1 reverse osmosis system. RO1 uses several sequential filtration stages to first remove solids and chemical impurities from the raw water, after which the RO membrane and DI filter complete the water purification.

Glamorca Sediment Filter – LS-SF

The sediment filter acts as a mechanical pre-filter for the RO1 system. It removes, for example, sand, silt, rust, and other solids from the water before the subsequent filtration stages.

Glamorca Activated Carbon Filter – LS-ACF

The activated carbon filter reduces chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pesticides, herbicides, and other chemical impurities that bind to activated carbon from the water.

Activated carbon filtration simultaneously protects the RO membrane, especially from damage caused by chlorine.

Glamorca Activated Carbon Block Filter – LS-CBF

The Carbon Block cartridge, made from compressed activated carbon, forms the second activated carbon stage of the RO1. It further reduces chlorine, organic impurities, pesticides, as well as unwanted odors, colors, and tastes related to the water before the RO membrane.

Glamorca RO Membrane – LS-TRM

The RO membrane is the actual reverse osmosis membrane of the system. It removes the vast majority of dissolved salts and other impurities from the water and significantly lowers the TDS value of the water before the final DI filtration stage.

Glamorca Deionization Filter – LS-DS

The DI filter is the final water purification stage of the RO1 system. The ion exchange resin removes remaining positively and negatively charged ions, i.e., cations and anions, from the water after the RO membrane.

With its help, the TDS of the purified water can be brought close to 0 ppm.

Changing the filters

The service life of the filters depends on the quality of the raw water, water consumption, and the operating conditions of the device. Timely replacement of pre-filters protects the RO membrane and helps maintain consistent purified water quality.

It is advisable to monitor the condition of the DI cartridge, especially using the TDS value of the purified water. When the TDS starts to rise above the desired level, the DI resin should be replaced.
