AI Orbit 4 is a cross-flow or gyre pump that creates a wide, circulating flow throughout the aquarium. It is suitable for reef tanks where you want to move water over a wide area and help transport detritus to filtration. Orbit 4 is the larger and more powerful option in the series, and its magnetic mount is suitable for glass up to 20 mm thick.

Flow control

With the Mobius or myAI app, you can program the pump's power and flow cycles to suit your aquarium's needs. You can choose from:

• Constant: steady flow at your chosen power.
• Pulse: flow with regularly changing intensity.
• Random: randomly varying flow.
• Reverse: reverse operation of the pump as part of a flow program.

Part of a versatile flow

The Orbit's circulating flow can be complemented by, for example, the directional flow of a Nero pump. By positioning multiple pumps and using different programs, you can reduce areas where detritus accumulates. Flow itself does not remove dirt from the tank, but rather transports it to be collected by filtration.
